*knocks her head. Hello, silly girl? Are you still sane? Mmm....That's a hard question. Yes, guys, it's been a crazy week for all of us here - me, my family and friends. So many preparations thus triggering us into panic mode most of the time. The major cause? The cosplay competition. This experience made me realize that cosplaying in another country requires so much more. Not just effort, but funds.

A few days ago, we inquired about having our props shipped via air freight and they quoted us with $500-$600 per crate. It broke my heart as well as my piggy bank. Oh wait, I don't have a piggy bank because I have nothing to put in there. Sob! But as of now, we are still trying to find ways how to transport it with lesser expenses.

Other than the budget, training for the skit is also quite tedious.


Yes, those are my legs. And these are a few bruises from practicing. As of this photo, I had 16 bruises on my legs. And none of them seem to be disappearing.

This kind of reminded me of my cheerleading training back in high school, MCHS (Miriam College High School). I was part of the cheering squad for 3 years. The cheering team is divided into two. The "Boosters" who did all the shouting and the "Hardcourt" who did all the stunts, dances and pyramids. And I was part of the "Hardcourt" 'coz my soft and somewhat high voice is not passable in the "Booster"s standards. Just kidding!

Also did Ballet back in Grade School. I must've been a confused kid to have all of these things mixed up. Now ended up drawing, cosplaying and blogging? o.o

Going back...Our squad used to join cheering competitions. Luckily won in some that landed us in a few commercials and shoots before. Also had dance concerts in auditoriums and halls. I really miss those good old days...except for the bruises, sprains, strains and all sorts of injuries, of course.

Anyway, we have a few days left before flying back to Singapore. We'll be leaving on the 19th. And we'll be back on the 23rd. Surely, this short trip will be packed with activities and yup, tons of photos. Gosh, I haven't even done decent entries on our last trip to Singapore. Well, here is a photo dumpage instead to make up for it.

Fresh from being battered from cosplay skit practices and preparations for the AFA event, we took off and visited Dokissaten Maid and Butler Cafe event at Sango in Power Plant, Rockwell.




Sango is a Japanese-inspired burger restaurant. I personally don't like meat but this place made me think otherwise. Their burgers taste totally different from the usual American burgers. My favorite there is the Master Chili Cheese Burger. Ok, enough about food talk or I might just end up wanting to eat again thus ruining my imaginary diet plan.



I was all giddy and so happy to see Dokisatten friends there. I literally skipped..or brisk walked right through Starbucks to get there. Aww..

It was nice seeing them all again but this time there were a lot of new faces. New recruits to their team. Browsed through their profiles in two different clearbooks that segregated the butlers from the maids.

Unfortunately, my budget is pretty tight right now because of spending so much on me and my sister's costumes for the Singapore AFA cosplay competition, so I wasn't really able to hire Doki's services. But I'm glad, Doki's head Emile allowed me to take photos of the whole gang.

Wasn't able to stay long because I had to email a few requirements to AFA. Lil sis Ashley *orangeish was only able to send to me the final costume photo files thru email over dinner. I added a few more technical information and then sent them all to the AFA team. Let's hope they receive it because it was the deadline that day.

Went home after dinner and worked with mom on finishing all our other cosplay accessories. Again, I apologize for not posting process photos. Don't want to spoil the surprise.
