The past few days have been really traumatic for me. I was rushed to the ER because I was vomiting like crazy. It was really bad that I vomited more than 10 times and I couldn't replenish all the water I was losing. I was getting dehydrated. A few hours late to the ER and it could be very deadly.

When we got to the ER it was full of people and they had no extra rooms available so we waited a bit. I sat on a wheel chair but my parents asked the doctors if they could put I.V. on me because my condition would worsen if they didn't. So they did.

They stuck a needle on my right hand and got a little blood for testing. But I hyperventilated. My whole body froze, lips turned white and hands cramped. This was the first time I've experienced such and it was really painful. Mom told me everyone at the ER was now looking at me. *hides* I am not afraid of blood...just pain. After that, I was given a bed. We waited there until we got a room.

The results showed that I had contracted a severe bacterial infection through food contamination. Somewhat like Salmonella.

Salmonella is a potentially deadly infection. Severe dehydration due to diarrhea is one of the most common symptoms. Many of the deaths by this organism are due to the dehydration and accompanying electrolyte imbalance. The human body is not very tolerant of severe water loss. The organ systems may start to shut down. Antibiotic treatment is the only cure. Hospitalization, with fluid replacement, is often necessary. Young children and the elderly are most at risk. They are less capable of weathering a severe infection.

I was confined for a few days. Ran a few more blood tests which I hated. And ate very little because I had no appetite. Starbucks is a no-no for me. No dairy food, no oily food. Darn..

Anyhow, I felt really weak but I had to get out of the hospital soon because of the cosplay thing at Power Plant Mall. But since I wasn't getting better as soon as we hoped for, Power Plant had the G.I. Joe CosTrip moved to Sunday. We forced..(no.. not the right term)..We persuaded the doctor to release us even if I had to stay for a few more days. Doc agreed but advised us that I shouldn't have any gimmicks until I get better which was in a week. But lo and behold, I cosplayed the next day for Power Plant. LOL.

I'd like to thank Power Plant Mall for inviting us and everyone who went and joined this mini Cos-Trip event. Especially those who went in costume too! Here are a few photos I've gathered. I'll be posting the rest when I get better.

It was really fun hanging out with you guys there! See you all again next time! What movie should we be expecting? I mean, with cosplay-able characters.


Since I haven't fully recovered from my illness yet, I felt really dizzy afterwards. Haha, pushed myself again. Btw, I want to thank everyone who wished me well in my recovery. It was really sweet. ^_^
